Chinese Elm (Ulmus Parvifolia) Tree No37

  • Description

Bonsai Trees

Please Note - Our Chinese Elm's are grown outside all year round and as a result they loose their leaves from around September to November. Once the tree has started to loose it's leaves it's best to keep these tree outside until spring time when the tree starts to leaf out again, protecting from harsh frosts. Doing this insures the tree goes through it's natural yearly cycle resulting n a healthy tree. Once the tree leafs out again in spring time the tree can be placed indoors again if desired.

This tree is from our standard range of Chinese Elms and comes planted in a standard pot with standard soil. We recommend repotting this tree at the nearest opportunity
into a high quality soil mix. Early spring as the buds begin to swell is a best time.

The tree you see above is the tree you get! This tree is planted into a 16cm bonsai pots and measures around about 30cm high.

Drip tray not included.

Please note we feed our trees with Naruko outdoor bonsai feed. This can leave a black residue on the soil surface that can look unsightly. Don't worry this is perfectly normal and means the feed is breaking down and doing its job.

Please see our Chinese Elm Care Guide for information about caring for these bonsai trees.

Our indoor bonsai trees come with a basic care guide that should help you on your way.

Once your tree arrives remove it from the packaging trying to disturb the loose soil as little as possible. Once the tree is free from the packaging feel the soil to see if it needs some water. If the top layer is dry give the tree a good soaking and allow the excess water to drain from the bottom of the pot. Then place your tree into your chosen location. See our care guide for more information about Chinese Elm (Ulmus Parvifloria)
